W offer UKCP‑accredited psychodynamic psychotherapy in central Lewes. If you’re considering starting therapy, we are happy to meet for a free initial session so we can explore what you need and whether working together feels right.

Our first session

Your first session is a gentle, spacious meeting where we take time to explore what’s brought you to therapy and what you’re hoping for. It lasts 50 minutes and gives you a sense of how we work as UKCP‑accredited psychotherapists. There’s no pressure to decide anything immediately — this session is simply a chance to see whether working together feels right.

We can offer lower cost counselling for those on a limited income. Contact us to arrange a free first session.

In person and online

W offer therapy in person in Lewes and online via secure video sessions. You’re welcome to choose whichever format feels most comfortable.

Weekly / fortnightly therapy

Sessions take place at the same time each week and last 50 minutes. Working psychodynamically means we pay attention to emotional experience, unconscious processes, and the ways past relationships shape present life. Therapy unfolds gradually, at a pace that feels manageable and grounded.

For some people, fortnightly sessions are more suitable — for example, if you’re easing into therapy, managing practical constraints, or prefer a slower pace. Fortnightly work can still be reflective and containing, and we can discuss together what frequency feels right for you.

Whether weekly or fortnightly, therapy unfolds gradually, at a pace that feels manageable and grounded.

What we talk about

People come to therapy for many reasons, and you’re welcome to bring whatever feels most important. We might talk about relationships, emotional patterns, past experiences, or anything that feels difficult or confusing right now. Our approach is reflective and relational, paying attention to both your present experience and the deeper patterns that shape it.

What happens next?

After the first session, you’re welcome to take time to reflect. If we both feel it’s a good fit, we agree to begin weekly therapy. This decision is collaborative and unhurried — there’s no expectation to continue unless it feels right for you.

Location

My practice is in the Star Brewery Workshops, a few minutes’ walk from Lewes High Street and around 10 minutes from Lewes Railway Station.

Nearby parking: East Street, Waitrose, Friars Walk, and the Maltings (Castle Gate).

The therapy room is upstairs above the Star Gallery.

When you’re ready

If you’d like to arrange your first session or ask any questions, you can contact us through the form on our Contact page. I usually reply within one working day, and your enquiry is always treated confidentially.
